Seaweed Home Spa

An easy and effective form of thalassotherapy.

Thalassotherapy is an ancient spa technique, widely used in Japan and Korea but also France where the powers of seaweed plays the main role in body care.

As a result of the healing and moisturising effect of seaweed, it has seaweed been used in spa treatments for centuries. Seaweed in spa is used, for instance, to relieve muscle pain, arthritis, dry skin, rashes and exemas, cellulitis, anxiety, stress.

It is mainly because of seaweeds unique composition, that closely resembles our own plasma. This is why the minerals and vitamins contained in seaweed are so readily absorbed by our own skin.

We picked the seaweed sustainably, in Skagerrak Sea along the Swedish west coast.

How can you use Seaweed home spa? Easy. Place the bag, containing seaweed and sea salt  in your bath tub when it is filling with water and take a bath for at least 20 minutes.  For the best results repeat the bath procedure at least once a week.

Best is to follow up the bath with Seaweed body oil, or other natural body care without any additives,  for long lasting effect.

After your bath hang the bag the bag with seaweed up to dry, you can reuse it at least 3 times, if you like add smore sea salt for your next bath. After 3-4 bath, refill the bag with the loose seaweed that is included. The bag will discolour, that are the pigments of the seaweed including fucoidans that are released.

After you are all done with the seaweed, you can even use it as a fertiliser in the garden or your home plants.
